Q. How can I copy text from the “Read Like a Book” window?
A.
Web Eyes “Read Like a Book” does not support copying. Therefore, you must use IE's copying feature. If you were using “Page Control” on IE's text, you would be able to copy.

Q. How do I move around in the “Read Like a Book” window?
A.
You have several ways of moving through the Web Eyes window. You can use the mouse and click on various links within the Web page. Additionally, you can use the tab key on your keyboard to tab through the links. For detailed short cut commands please refer to the keyboard short cut list in this document.

Q. In “Read Like a Book” format, I am unable to change the font size or font style because this option is disabled. How can I enable them?
A.
In Web Eyes, pull down the “Format” menu and select “Preferences”. Under “Font Preferences”, uncheck both the choices and click “OK”. Initially both the font style and size are set enabled.

Q. I haven't disabled images, then why are images often not shown in “Read Like a Book” format?
A.
If the image does not fit into the Web Eyes window, then it will not be displayed.

Q. Why are images sometimes broken into several pieces?
A.
Web designers will frequently break a single image into several pieces to allow the page to load quicker. When the image is broken like this, the “Read Like a Book” format will show each piece on a separate line, as if they are separate images. To view the Web author's work as intended, view the page via Internet Explorer or the “Page Control” window.

Q. I have noticed that the background and colored text are altered in “Read Like a Book”. Is this normal?
A.
Yes, Web Eyes is implemented to show text in black. Please note that there may be some cases where the type color is kept unchanged if it is part of an image.

Q. At a large type size, like 144 point, words do not fit in the “Read Like a Book” frame. Is this normal?
A.
At larger type sizes, you must maximize the “Read Like a Book” window. Long words and Internet addresses, at large sizes, sometimes will not fit inside a maximized window. Web Eyes does not break up words, or wrap them. Since the enlarged type size has increased the dimensions of the Web page, the page itself flows well outside the perimeters of the monitor.

Q. Sometimes there are large empty spaces in the “Read Like a Book” format. What causes that to happen?
A.
Empty paragraphs cause line breaks to be added, resulting in excess space between elements. This is really a document format error on the part of the author or used to create white space on the original Web page.

Q. Using “Read Like a Book” format, I get empty pages that contain scripts such as JavaScripts or VB scripts. Is that normal?
A.
Yes, it is normal since “Read Like a Book” format does not support any kind of scripts. If a form or text is contained within a script, Web Eyes will not be able to display any of the information. Go back to the IE page to read.
